Marketplace checks

A marketplace screen is the beginning of a review, not the end. Use these notes to identify the record behind each displayed field.

Start with a two-column worksheet. In the first column, copy the label shown by the interface: value, rent, yield, occupancy, distributions, or token supply. In the second column, name the document or record that can support it.

A field without a source is a claim. A field with an old source is a dated claim. A field with a current source can still be incomplete if the source covers only one entity, one parcel, or one period.

Review the source owner as well as the number. County data, an entity filing, a property manager report, and a token contract describe different parts of the system. Note who produced each record, when it was updated, and what it cannot prove.

Save the terms that apply on the day of review. Marketplace rules, transfer limits, fees, and eligibility can change. A screenshot is useful evidence of what the interface displayed, but it is not a substitute for the terms and legal documents.
